While being space saving for a mouse, the ultimate compact keyboard retains the numpad and arrow keys. Thanks to the hot-swappable sockets, Ajazz AK992 Retro can accommodate a variety of mechanical switches, both 3 and 5-pin.

Gasket Mount System

Ajazz AK992 Retro features a Gasket Mount system, a sought-after design in the mechanical keyboard world. Instead of screwing the plate directly to the case, the plate is suspended within the case using gaskets that made of foams. These gaskets absorb the vibrations produced by each keystroke, creating a unique typing feel that is both smooth and consistent. This also tends to provide a pleasant typing sound that many users find satisfying.

ABS & PBT Double-shot Keycaps

Ajazz AK992 Retro keyboard comes in two color schemes: black pink and retro white. They have the same PCB and mounting type, except that they are with keycaps in different colors. By double-shot technique, the keycap is made from two separate shots of plastic - one for the keycap itself, and another for the legend. This process ensures that the legend won't fade or wear off over time, as it's not just printed or etched on the surface but is a completely separate piece of plastic.

PC Plate & EVA Foams

Apart from the PC case, the plate is also made from PC that reduces metal noises and makes the keyboard to sound thocky. To achieve ultimate smooth typing experience, Ajazz AK992 Retro keyboard takes efforts in adding foam strips to cushion the contact points of top case and the plate, an EVA PCB foam, a IXPE silicome switch pad and another EVA case foam to maximally absorb hollow sound and provide extra stable typing feeling.

Hot-swap Technology

The hot-swap feature allows you to replace or change switches without the need to solder or desolder, offering a high level of customization. Whether you're in pursuit of a different typing feel or sound, or simply need to replace a worn-out switch, you can do so easily and quickly. You have the freedom to experiment with various switches to find the perfect match for your typing style and preference.
